This page gives details of the 1.8kWp system using 10 Sanyo HIT hybrid PV panels and a sunnyboy 1700 grid connect inverter. The system cost £11,300 fully installed, including grid connection charges, and the Government paid £5,400 towards it through the PV grant scheme. Total generated to date (from 3-3-04) = 7224 kWh Total generated in 2008 = 886 kWh (updated weekly) Last week total = 53 kWh, Best week so far = 58 kWh, The system data states that this array should produce 1600 kWhr annually (in 2005 generated 1619 kWhrs, 2006 generated 1640 kWhrs and 2007 generated 1619 kWhrs).

Good Energy Home Generation programme in which they will pay me 9p per unit (kWh) for ALL generated units and therefore I don't need a separate Export meter installed. (Sanyo have continued to improve their panels output, see Glyns website for details of a 1.72kWp system using only 8 panels) |
